I too think that RH will do OK with this change - thinking about this from my own businesses point of view I have no problem paying RH £200 for Enterprise Linux ES, especially if I can load onto multiple machines i.e. my "live" server and my development box. The up2date utility incorporated into recent RH releases is brilliant, but must cost a fortune for the company to provide. Somebody has to pay somewhere down the line !!! What I find particularly interesting about these recent announcements is the way Linux is splitting into two camps - the not free but well supported distros, and the free 'but no official support' versions. Sounds fair enough to me. Businesses will mostly opt for the officially suported Linuxes whilst individuals can carry on as usual, chopping and changing as they wish. In terms of pricing there's still a huge differential between even the new Linuxes and M$ options, and that's without taking reliability into account !!! Martin, what's your view on this with regard to the University ? Huw
