I am wearing a shirt right now we printed up for our high school AP Comparative Gov. class senior year. Everywhere we looked was expensive and had long turn around times. In an old phone book, we found a woman that does it out of her garage. It was cheap, fast turn around and she upgraded our shirts to Hanes "Lofteez" (the nice kind) for free. I don't think she's in the phone book anymore, but if you are interested, I can find out her information. I went to high school in the Buffalo Grove/Vernon Hills/Lincolnshire area, so we looked for printers around here. The city probably has better selection. The woman who printed for us lives in Mount Propsect, I believe -- right next to Paulwaukee airport. --- Vitaly McLain <[email protected]> "Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. I haven't decided between one | color printing and two color printing. Generally, | the more screens the more expensive it is. | | I used to silkscreen my own shirts from scratch, | either using an exacto blade to cut out the film | or by using a darkroom and high-contrast lithography | to turn artwork or photos into film. Either way, | then you melt the film into the fabric that you've | stretched over a wooden frame (cheap to make). | Then you just need a squeegee and inks and | what you want to get the images on. I'd do it | myself if I had time, but I haven't had time in | years... | | Please let me know what you find and I will do the same. | I want good quality shirts. I have only a small batch. | | douglas | | Pete Bartecki wrote: | | > Sorry for OT.... but | > | > We here at MozillaPL are in need to prepare some t-shirts for our 1st | > birthday comming on this month.. | > | > Can anyone suggest some places where I can turn to around Chicago?
