	Internally Zimbra *is* most of the software you're already using with a 
custom data store and a lot of LDAP integration. I tried to pull it 
apart a few years ago to use the web front end on top of an existing 
virtual mail system which went nowhere quickly.

However, just because it's tightly integrated at the service level 
doesn't mean you can't add milters, policy servers, etc into the Postfix 
config or any other daemon config you can edit.

	At Yahoo, which owned Zimbra at the time, the decision was made to 
stick with Exchange over Zimbra because Blackberry support was 
unimplemented. This was about 18 months ago so things may have changed.
