Re: Help on resizing partitions with GParted

I was able to use GParted to make a little more space for my Ubuntu Linux OK
today.

I did delete the lvm partition as I could not see any clue it was being
used.  Afterwards my Ubuntu running on VirtualBox on WindowsXP continues to
run.  I never did much with it as performance is slow compared to Ubuntu
running native.

I used 15G of the 100G space for an E: drive NTFS partition for Windows.  I
was going to try to put a newer version of Ubuntu 10.10 in the remaining 85G
but I could not because of a limit of 4 primary partitions I didn't know
about.

I took 1G from my /dev/sda1 NTFS partion and made that available for the
/dev/sda5 ext4 partition by moving things to take up the free space.  I got
lots of warnings that I might not be able to reboot if I moved partitions,
but that turned out not to be a problem.
