In publicly archived mailing list as well as online forums, there is no need to include the **gobs** of **repeated** "quotations" by each poster. All the previous discussion is *already* available online. In most mailing lists, Interleaved posting is the preferred method please see <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posting_style>; the key thing is trimming out the parts of the message that is not relevant to your response. Others who are following the thread are smart enough to understand the posters thoughts. In a few mailing lists (moderated), I have seen the moderators giving notice to members who are repeat violators of the list guidelines.
