There are lots of providers out there but many are just crap. Have tried 4 so far and haven't had a decent one yet. Mind you I'm connecting my asterisk box to them but the issues are with the providers. This has been confirmed by configuring one of the phone ata's to go direct to the provider using sip instead of the asterisk box on several extended outages after having done a successful baseline test using it when the services were working with the same configuration. Good luck and let me know if you find any SIP/IAX providers that are decent. FYI: there are some ATAs that talk IAX which IMO is preferred to SIP since it is much easier to NAT.
