The switch supports Jumbo frames, and is an unmanaged switch.  I don't see
any way to set it one way or another.  It seems that DD-WRT doesn't support
Jumbo frames (yet) based on reading various posts on the dd-wrt forum pages.

Sorry, everything is hard wired.  I'm not using wifi

Thats a good suggestion.  The router has a USB 2.0 slot capable of 300Mb or
37.5MB (supposedly).

Right, I forgot about doing the conversion of 100Mb to 12.5MB

So, it seems that everything is about right, the notable exception is my
dd-wrt USB share.  I'll go googling and see if there is a way to get more
speed out of it.

Since I can only get 50MB across my Gb network (I fully recognize the irony
of ONLY 50MB, which is so fast compared to only 2 weeks ago before I had my
Gb equipment) using my single drive machines, it doesn't make sense to build
some hi performance file server, since I don't have anything that can read
off the network fast enough to max out the network.
