Oh, and if you have ever had to add or upgrade wiring, you will be glad
for conduit.
I hate working in houses where they use Romex cable.
Cutting into a wall with plastic cable and no pipes can yield some nasty
surprises!

I am not sure if the electrician is planning on putting in pipe or not. 
My 
contractor didn't say. The price he quoted was higher than I expected
so he 
may be. OTOH, I did map out 1-2 jacks per room for flexibility so that
I can 
rearrange furniture later as the situation requires, so 12 lines total
for the 
house. I'm pretty sure I won't be exceeding any distance limitations as
it's 
only a single family home.


Cook and Dupage counties are conduit by code. I hate conduit.
