Larry,

Conduit for LV is almost never done due to expense and how invasive it is.
It's not required and it costs a considerable amount more.  The only place
I've done it or seen it done is to connect 2 wiring closets (large houses)
or to go through a special area (tile, stone, textured
surfaces) where you expect to add runs soon which is almost never.
