I had a domain registered with GoDaddy some time ago... when I decided
that  site wasn't going to be around I was happy to let the
registration lapse, because I was already less than happy about GoDaddy
management.  Dont recall any details, but there were some
communications from them that squicked me... no, it's been too long, i
really can't recall what they were about now.

Anyway, I still have at least one domain that wasn't brand new when I
picked GoDaddy for the experiment (based on price, I think) that's
still active with DomainMonger.  It works, they don't do anything I
know of that would make me want not to be associated with them.  ;-/
