Oh geeze... I've wiped my memory of the old pulse-dialing sets!  Yeah,
those would be a mite more disruptive.  :-/

I do still feel more comfortable, myself, keeping high voltage circuits
as physically separate from low voltage as possible just on general
pronciples, even when direct coupled interference isn't an issue.

I will add that if I were running wires in the walls for phone and
network, I'd just pull extra network (Cat whatever) rather than any
POTs-specific stuff.  Wire in the wall tends to have a very long life.
