Hi Rick,

I recently bought an HP PSC 2310, which sounds similar. I quickly tried
if out on my linux laptop, and it printed the CUPS test page with very
little fuss, but I couldn't print from the Gimp.

Tonight I plan to attach it to my server and make it available to all my
home machines - if I run into any nastiness I'll let you know.
