Did you configure alsa manually or did some automated redhat thingo do it? If you can play mp3's alsa is working, if you have used the commandline ap alsaconfig and unmuted any channel options ( "m" key") and turned them up in volume (up arrow) and saved your settings with "alsactl store" thats all you can do. Alsaconfig will present any option that is a functionality of your card, if alsaconfig don't offer it as configurable, i.e you can unmute/mute and adjust volume, its not there on your card or not recognised as being there. <snip> -- Cheers, Rick Miles Movement stopped is no movement, and rest set in motion is no rest.
