I took out the nvidia card and started the computer up using onboard VIA graphics 
chip and it was the same thing

Monitor works fine on another box and the monitor from that other box flickers when 
put on my box so its my box not the monitor. 

Since its noticeable from the first display (that lists graphics card and video RAM). 
I've been thinking its hardware related.

First off from cold start as well as hot.

That's a thought and I'll probably clean again tonight but all was cleaned about 6 
weeks ago. I have that troubke with my PC's here at the vineyard.

I'm hoping its something other than the mobo as I wouldn't know to sort out omething 
like that and I really don't ewant to buy another one. I purchsed this one only 9 months 
or so ago.

I'm also thinking about a poor earth connection in a power point or a minor current 
coming in from TV cable for DVB card. Right now I'm feeling a bit clueless
