MlUG [ meeting topic ]

Hello all,

This friday I will be giving a presentation at the MLUG meeting on the
"Linux thin client trial at the Footscray Library; 1 year on".

The structure of the presentation will be:

	. Linux thin client clients, basic principles.
	. CBV's additional mods. to the basic thin client model system
	. The system at Footscray ( software and hardware ).
	. Our experiences and lessons learnt since this deployment.
	. The future and Conclusions.
	
I will setup a demo with:

	1. a std linux thin client connecting to a Linux server
	2. a Windows NT4.0 box connecting to the Linux server ( as a session
within Windows )using Cygwin X11. This is an example of an "Internet
applications server" concept that I am quite interested in.

The talk will be 1.5 hrs.
