Brett Ellis is a darn nice person I don't care what anybody says! <snip> > Hey, you could try Tovid... a great little script... > > http://tovid.sourceforge.net/ <snip> I might have a look see somewhere down the track. Right now my interest is in converting mpeg-ps (or pes) files into something I can then process onto a dvd for viewing on a dvd to television setup. Using kaffeine, I can record tv programs onto disk as mpeg-ps, mpeg-pes or mpeg-ts but have not found a way to convert them to vob files which can then be processed with standard tools: tcextract, tcrequant (maybe), mplex, etc. I understand that mpeg-ps files are supposed to be basically a vob but tcextract (for example) spits the dummy with mine I just haven't figured out what tool to use. Transcode, which is used by Tovid has a monster man page and I haven't sorted out whether or not it can do the job or not. -- Cheers, Rick Miles Movement stopped is no movement, and rest set in motion is no rest.
