Fwd: Where can I find help for Xandros?

I got emailed by Claire Preston, who wants to know if anyone is able
to give some one on one linux support to her.

I recently bought Xandros4 Premium and have been in love with it ever since!

However I have one problem that I cannot fix and I am looking to find
someone who I can hire for an afternoon or so, to see if it can be fixed
(The internet runs extremely slowly opening web pages but downloads
programs/large files very quickly).

Tech support have been helpful, but I think it's far easier to sort these
things out on-site or at least over the phone than through e-mail.

I live in Ferntree Gully Melbourne, do you know how I can get some help? Can
you point me in the right direction? I am not a business, just a 21yo uni
student, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The issue is that I can download large files/programs at ~25kb/s but
webpages will only load at less than ~2kb. The computer is networked through
a D-link router and an Netcomm NB5 modem router (I have wondered whther
Xandros is having trouble dealing with the two routers (yes I know it's not
an ideal set-up!) even though '98 and XP haven't).
My brother's and father's computers aren't having the same problem (they're
using XP and I was previously using '98 on an older computer, we all use
Firefox, but only I am showing this problem).

More than this, it would just be nice to know that there are experts out
there in the big wide world! My brother is studying computers and we have
always been quite capable with them, but no one in my family has used Linux
before, so it's all new!
I have two friends that run Fedora, but they couldn't solve it (although we
only spent about an hour on it and they are not familiar with Xandros).

If you have any ideas that I can't understand, I'm sure they could, if it
would be easier that way, but part of me thinks that hiring/talking to an
outside expert might be the way to go.

The challenge is finding somone that is willing to spend an afternoon with
one person running Xandros on her personal desktop as opposed to a big
business running Novell or Red Hat on 50+ computers..

I love Xandros and have enjoyed dipping my toes into the linux world, it's
been great with everything else and once this is soved it'll be almost
pefect!
