Re: sshd not working

I would guess that maybe it's already running.  The last line says the port is already being used.

ps aux | grep ssh

Latest Ubuntu has sshd installed and running by default I think.

I'm doing a new Ubuntu 7.1 install, and sshd seems to be failing to bind
to the listening socket.

This has the same error no matter what port I try, including 22.
