It might be worth it to me to build a DVR just for over-the air.
Are they unencrypted?  2,4,5,7,13,19,41?42?,50?
I am only seeing 14 in analog.
I recall that (at least) one of the spanish stations is in digital.
Perhaps two.

I thought there was some sort of "do not copy" bit and/or "broadcast"
bit, and in 2005, DMCA was going to make it illegal to try
and ignore that bit.
Chip manufacturers and content providers were behind creating
hardware (like receiver cards and HDMI protocalls) that would keep you
from building your own DVR.

If they are not using this for over-the-air, I'll go ahead and
get an over-the-air tuner card.
If I like MythTV, I can investigate ways to get satellite
or cable later.  I heard some talk about some set-top boxes
having digital interfaces (like firewire).

Re-digitizing component is always available as a last resort,
and I know that MythTV has stuff to control boxes with an IR emitter.
But, I am certainly more interested in being able to capture
the best digital stream possible.
