RSS hasn't taken over, hardly anyone uses it beyond us geeks.
I am all for the vanity mailing lists though, then indexes wouldn't get
choked with someone droning on about their pet etc. I have a blog so I am
being highly hypocritical here.
I think comments on blogs can be a good and bad thing, talking about myself
in general, I have posted some technical guide and someone asked why it
didn't work on their system, I posted back step by step possibilities of why
it didn't work, problem solved.
It can be bad for indexed spam, and maintenance, it can be bad if an ex
stalks you in your comments, like every choice you have to weight the good
with the bad, me I like it. The OP he no like it. Different strokes for
different folks.
