And the teenagers who use it on their phones, the people who listen to
podcasts on their ipods and so on. The thing is, RSS isn't a highly
visible technology in the main. People use it without knowing.

We as the "geeks" know about RSS the xml based language, we also know
about atom and other iterations of the same idea. What the people
outside of geekdom see is "click this to get a feed".
