my Mum has a satellite receiver with a subscription card that she watches TV programms with, I wouldn't mind, occasionally, to watch news service from that broadcast; (which probably is in the middle of the night); so, I'm trying to figure out a simple and inexpensive way to record/store/replay some of the contents; something that I can remove recorded contents, and, 'take away' there is NO computer in the house with the TV I cam across this unit, which seems to fit the bill (about $70): http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item(2171)-SDVM1-A-A30-SanDisk_VMate_Video_Memory_Card_Recorder.aspx any other ideas/feedback ? the satellite unit has RF out and video/audio out -- Voytek -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
