Re: GPRS NextG/3G mobile data Q

Nope EDGE is actually 2.5g like running multiple GPRS connections about
144kbps max iirc. The 3g is WCDMA/UMTS at probably 2100mhz. But those speeds
are about right for 3g.
NextG is pretty wide spread, next G is sort of 3.5g with a bit of Telstra
proprietry sauce, (Note I am not a fan of telstra but NextG is pretty good).
Check that your phone can do 850mhz HSDPA, if not then you won't get HSDPA
on telstra, only the fallback 3g.
