My TECRA M4 Tablet is able to take on two batteries. The second
battery sits in the media bay. With this combination, I still recieve
4 hours of power from a system that used to run for five; this system
was purchased three years ago. The trick is to pack in excess capacity
and allow the hardware to split the load evenly.
    This system is not a conservative package. It was physically the
heaviest Tablet on the market at the time, the only one with the power
to match its competition (Pentium M 2.13 in 2005-2006) and also the
most expensive ($4700 with options, equivalent to a Dell Precision).
The DULL's do not have any stylus, so I ordered a TECRA instead, and I
have literally not thought once about what I would be missing
elsewhere. Not until today at least.
    This fine system paid for itself in productivity enhancements
alone. It's like the BMW ads say; proof that the more expensive choice
is also the cheapest to run in the long term. I can say more for this
thing than I can for my securities on the ASX. It was a long position
on $10,000 worth that subsidised my purchase of this computer   :-)
