In addition to previous posts, as Chris kindly pointed out,
When building a budget gaming machine,
please make sure to set aside a budget for Windows 7, because ' Windows 7 is
around the corner, XP is due to have the  
rug pulled out from under it.' 
And really, who likes to be caught with their pants down? Not me, 
therefore it is absolutely crucial to check Windows 7 minimum requirements
when looking at ANY hardware purchase, 
because in all honesty, are you really building that machine 'just' to run
windows XP and World of Warcraft?

Baseline 9600GT for gaming.  WoW may be what he's playing, but to be  
honest, under windows and OSX a GMA can handle WoW with a fast enough  
processor supporting it, but it doesn't mean you're going to spec that  
for a machine you're building now that has to last a year or two.

Again, do you build a machine JUST to play something now, or to last a  
year or two.  Windows 7 is around the corner, XP is due to have the  
rug pulled out from under it.  Not demonstrating the foresight to  
build systems with that in mind is a waste of money and time.
