I don't quite follow what you are trying to say, I think. Would you be kind enough to correct me if I have misunderstood your point: You believe that git has an appallingly bad UI, which is one of the mistakes that arch made. You believe that many developers first encountered a DVCS when they used git, so now they defend the poor UI since they have mistaken the technology (DVCS) for the implementation (git). I /think/ that is what you were trying to say, and on that basis I still have one question: You seem to consider arch and git to be bad choices. What do you suggest people use, then, and why?
