I see fibre in the same light as (no pun intended)
the telegraph, electricity and telephone. It is
something that everyone can use and they can
charge various fees according to something like
that. e.g.. I use more electricity, I pay more!

Given the multitude of opportunities it affords
home user, the government and business, NBN with
fibre optic cable would seem a no-brainer :))

Yes, it will cost a lot, but do did all the other
communication options we installed previously.

Personally I don't mind if private companies build
it - but they won't want to build it to place
which are not profitable to them. Thus it becomes
something governments end up doing because it is
for the community-at-large.
