restoring back up BIOS with no video ?

I have a Gigabyte dual bios m/b with Core 2, during a reboot it said like:
'bios corrupted, copying from backup';

on next reboot there is no video, no beep, no post, nothing

I'm guessing I need to force it to boot from backup BIOS somehow ?

googling brings some procedures suggesting shortening CE(Chip enable) and
SCK(Clock) ? to get it booting again

if anyone is familiar with any such procedures, pls send some tips this way
