I'm lucky enough to live in the inner city and there's free E-Waste
recycling that the City of Sydney carries out[0] every now and then.

At first I was concerned that it was just going to be recycled, rather
than reused but they say, "Around 95 per cent of all E-waste collected
on the day will be recovered and reused." so I've done it and it was
easy.

That might be a good idea to get it into the good inner-city councils.
I'm pretty sure Marrickville does the same thing.

Most definitely not! I really wanted to get my old machines working
and used by people. Just because I need the latest and greatest
doesn't mean everyone does!
