do you know what are AUS specific gps.conf entries, my phone is ex att,
have US entries ( I was going to include what I have, bit haven't figured
out yet how to either copy or email from gps,conf using whatever editor I
opened it with...)

what on board editor can I edit like gps.conf files with ?
can I edit these from a PC ?

I took a Holux 1200 logger down through Wollagambe few weeks ago, had a
few random positions during the trip, overall, it looked pretty good to
me, THOUGH, I really have no experience in what's good. there were two
obviously random reads in the canyon (as I expected), there was at least
one obviously random reads at Mt Wilson

compared to Holux, the phone GPS appear to have significantly lower
sensitivity (but Holux is pretty good, in my limited usage)

I borrowed Desire HD on a drive to Bowral, at one point near Liverpool,
Desire's car jumped off the M5 and was racing around nearby suburb trying
to get back to the M5 (but I only used Desire for a few hours, rest of
trip it worked OK)

and, yesterday, neither google nor Aura wanted to work, tried the GPS
toolkit, nothing, then, after hard power off it worked again
