Re: iMac/Dlink/DHCP

It could be that the mac isnt sending a classid in the DHCPDISCOVER and
the modem is ignoring it. (classid is optional, but...)

there could also be missing options in the DHCPOFFER which may be
causing the mac to ignore it.

its also possible that something strange is happening in the tcp stacks
or dhcp implementations, for example i have seen confusion when unicast
replies are sent rather than multicast, and then only when its on the
same subnet. but these strange behaviors are usually more embedded
devices with stripped down dhcp implementations.

id put money on it being that the classid is missing
