Hi SLUGgers,

I spoke to a few committee members at the last meeting, including
Sridar (hi there!), about running an OpenAustralia[0] BOF at an
upcoming SLUG meetup. For those of you that don't know, OpenAustralia
is an open source political transparency site and we like to hack on
all things civi-minded and Government 2.0.

I was hoping to offer to run one at the next SLUG but unfortunately
it's conflicting with GovHack[1] (which is why I've been delayed in
sending this mail - sorry!). November's meeting is looking really good
to run a session as the Gov2 Taskforce's MashupAustralia Competition
will have recently finished. I was hoping that OpenAustralia BOFs
become a regular item on the SLUG agenda and so further ones down the
track are a definite possibility.

I'll confirm back to the committee and the list closer to the date so
we can work out a format and hopefully get an idea of numbers, etc.
