Consider posting to the local university internship programs--you
might be surprised how many {"mature students," career changers} you
find. (FWIW I got my current gig by going back to school and getting
an internship.) Note that, IIRC (been a couple years since I used the
UNC and NCSU systems from the recruitment side) the interfaces are
online and free: your only cost is a little account setup and lots of
resume-reading time.
