Adobe Flex has several MVC frameworks. I've mostly used cairngorm. Spring has great JSON support. It is true that most business apps are still a mix of web 1.0 frameworks and light sprinklings of ajax controls. For new apps of shops that have more developers than designers I see more things like GWT.
