Java 7 and beyond

I have been trying to ignore Java 7, but now Oracle has removed the Java 
6 downloads from the main java.com web page, so this is no longer 
possible. Customers can't find the download.

Been writing Java code since 1.01, and this is the first time that Java 
is COMPLETELY BROKEN, in terms of upgrades. None of my customers can run 
the old code on Java 7. Nor can I.

Java survived Microsoft and the Java wars! Looks like it is going to 
take Oracle to really KILL Java.
- What are they thinking?
- Who thinks they are doing a good thing?

Can anyone please explain the basics of Java 7? Oracle makes it sound 
like a simple re-compile.

Yeah simple. Except for the fact that our App server uses Tomcat, JBoss, 
and a bunch of third party JARs to run.

And now the run-time environment is more complex than ever. And this 
becomes a PORT, not a re-compile.

To whom at Oracle can I express my concerns? I realize it won't do any good.

And I can't wait to hear their great plans for Java 8.
