GFDL / CC by-sa compatibility

Sorry to be blunt, but yes you two are wrong. :) The CC people already said 
that they are working on their next version of CC by-sa so that by-sa text 
can be licensed under the GNU FDL. IIRC Richard Stallman has already stated 
to Jimbo that as far as he (RMS) was concerned the CC by-sa and the GFDL are 
compatible and text is interchangeable between the two. But we all know that 
this is not something that we can rely on; we need it built into the next 
version of the GNU FDL. 

I for one am swamped but should have time to draft something in January. But I 
think such an effort would carry more weight after the CC people release 
their updated license. Then all we really need to do is ask the GNU people to 
reciprocate. And if we are bold enough we could even send them a copy of a 
Lessor GNU FDL to look over (something that would pretty much require just 
what we require of downstream users; all the invariant rubbish and 
requirements to include a copy of the license in every copy would be 
excised).
