I went ahead with the other option and submitted an update that has the smallscaling build disabled at https://github.com/fink/fink-distributions/pull/577 Except for that benchmark (which you won’t see anyway unless you build with `-m`) everything should hopefully work the same in that version. But of course we’re grateful for feedback if it does indeed work.
