gcc-7.5.0 build fails.

Hi All,

I’m stuck, selfupdate followed by an update-all failed.

This is not new, the last few times I’ve run update-all have failed and the problem is gcc7.

I saw recently a "sudo xcodebuild -license” is needed after updating command line tools which I don’t ever recall doing.

After running the command I was optimistic, the gcc compile was going well, getting much further than previous attempts, but unfortunately it failed close to the end in the install phase:

Please try to include the complete error message in your report.  This

Also and don’t know if this is relevant but there are many ocurrenences of “ar” commands, some of which report lines like:
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/ranlib: file: libbackend.a(inchash.o) has no symbols

I’ve searched for a fix and not found (or missed) it.
