At this point, I think we’re safe to remove the >= 6.2 qualifier, since we don’t support anything earlier than 10.9. For a quick and dirty workaround, try editing <Your Fink Tree>/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/languages/gcc9.info and feel free to take out the whole “xcode >= 6.2” in the BuildDepends line.
Ok, I needed sudo to delete that one line:
/opt/sw/fink/10.9-libcxx/stable/main/finkinfo/languages
sudo vi gcc9.info
I removed the line:
xcode (>= 6.2)

fink needs help picking an alternative to satisfy a virtual dependency. The
candidates:
(1) ghostscript: Interpreter for PostScript and PDF
(2) ghostscript-esp: Ghostscript with better CJK and cups support
Pick one: [1]
Can't resolve dependency "xcode (>= 4.6)" for package "gcc9-9.3.0-1" (no matching

Hmm. SplitOff2 in the same file has
xcode (>= 4.6)
and InfoTest has
xcode (<< 4.7) | apple-gdb
Now what?

I don't know how to answer that. I'll need exact instructions.
