Gnuplot install error

Hello Fink Maintainers,

I have attempted to install gnuplot-5.0.7-5 via fink (fink install gnuplot).  The build fails with the output provided below:

I have run fink selfupdate (No packages to install) and fink update-all (No packages to install).  A second attempt to install produced the same output.  The package "emacsen-common” is present in my fink installation.  An attempt to install “emacsen” [virtual package] asks me to pick a version to install (I chose emacs26), but that installation also failed, albeit with a different message.  I provide the last details regarding emacs as supporting information only-  it was my limited attempt to address the “No emacs found” error that appears to have crashed the installation.

Is there any additional information that I need to provide to help diagnose the problem?
