A second attempt to install produced the same output. The package "emacsen-common” is present in my fink installation. An attempt to install “emacsen” [virtual package] asks me to pick a version to install (I chose emacs26), but that installation also failed, albeit with a different message. I provide the last details regarding emacs as supporting information only- it was my limited attempt to address the “No emacs found” error that appears to have crashed the installation. > > Is there any additional information that I need to provide to help diagnose the problem? > > Thank you for reading. > > Aric > (I used to maintain gnuplot, and at that time there was an emacs executable in the system—this test predates may involvement, though.) Maybe try a different emacs version? —akh _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [email protected] List archive: https://sourceforge.net/p/fink/mailman/fink-users/ Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
