Fully agreed. I do plan to prepare a suitable git tree & pull request; that way people can test the patch. The pull request is useful even if it should in the end not get merged as such.


I also plan to get a closer look at Sjors & TheSin's work... Is there a (tentative) pull request for that yet? What about the selfupdate-git code?
