the debianutils update was posted to fink-devel or -core I forget, but there was discussion on it as it was going to impact everyone since debianutils no longer provided read link or mktemp, I didn't mention sensible silts but all it is, is an over glorified update-alternatives pkg really, for main system tools like pager and such, and it is used and required for the new dpkg. As for updating fink I really thought I'd have more momentum with my branch which really has disappointed me since to addition of triggers and debconf would greatly improve fink I thought more would be behind this move, not to mention replacing 10 year old vernon of a core tool. --- TS http://www.southofheaven.org/ Life begins and ends with chaos, live between the chaos!
