Re: Policy on packaging snapshots?

Thanks for the input. I was a bit unclear about the versions. The original project never released anything and I just picked 1.0 as anything might be incorrect later.
So, is there a better way than using a regular x.y version and appending the git commit hash?

I'll use the full commit hash for the tar.gz, so it will be clear. (And no there isn't much development that's why I'd go with the current version)
