trouble building fltk13-aqua on MacBook Pro running 10.13

Hello All -

As the subject says.....

Any info/guidance would be appreciated.  NOTE - the drive being used for 
install is not HFS, it is APFS (I am referring to the error just above 
the hash marks below).
