Mirror fink.ig42.org going away - sad news

Hi,

when working on the servers of Andreas “gecko” Gockel, I found that
there are references to the Fink project and apparently on of the fink
mirrors is (or was) hosted there. I know that gecko used to work on
fink, but I do not know any details about his involvement and how
important this is for the project.

I sadly have to inform you that gecko has passed away on May 16th, 2018
at the age of 36 years. Should any of you have had personal contact with
him, please feel free to contact me in private for any details.

As I am managing the recovery of other people's data from geckos servers,
I also have to inform you that any services related to fink that might
be hosted there will go away some time soon.
