By bypassing version checks I managed to get to a point where it downloads
the base packages and builds them, but then install fails with:
 % sudo /opt/sw/bootstrap/bin/dpkg -i
/opt/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-arm/base/base-files_1.9.17-1_darwin-arm.deb

/opt/sw/bootstrap/bin/dpkg: error processing
/opt/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-arm/base/base-files_1.9.17-1_darwin-arm.deb
(--install):
 package architecture (darwin-arm) does not match system (arm-darwin)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /opt/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-arm/base/base-files_1.9.17-1_darwin-arm.deb

Any ideas on switching arm-darwin <=> darwin-arm?
