great, thank you. That made the error:

Can't use 'defined(@array)' (Maybe you should just omit the defined()?) at generate-install-list line 24.

of emacsen-common disappear. And emacs built fine and seems to work
after I changed the patchfile-checksum of emacsen-common.

haven't used your patched xinitrc yet.
