Re: Fink install issues

David,

A few of things:

1. are you installing this under Big Sur?  There are all sorts of warnings that Big Sur compatibility is not complete.

2. None of the screen caps you have show the error that caused it to fail.  You need to find where the error actually occurred.

3. Emacs26 does not install in Big Sur out of the box.  There is a simple patch that will fix this but it has not been submitted and incorporated into fink.

4. Are you trying to run things on an M1 processor.  That is highly unsupported.
