Well, we got close, but now I'm at this:

mv: rename t-ast.gmo to ast.gmo: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [ast.gmo] Error 1
make[2]: *** [stamp-po] Error 2
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
### execution of /usr/bin/make failed, exit code 2
phase compiling: dpkg-bootstrap-1.17.6-1 failed

Before reporting any errors, please run "fink selfupdate" and try again.

If you continue to have issues, please check to see if the FAQ on Fink's
website solves the problem. If not, ask on one (not both, please) of
these mailing lists:

The Fink Users List <[email protected]>
The Fink Beginners List <[email protected]>.

Please try to include the complete error message in your report. This
generally consists of a compiler line starting with e.g. "gcc" or "g++"
followed by the actual error output from the compiler.

Also include the following system information:
Package manager version: 0.45.99.git
Distribution version: selfupdate-point (bootstrap), 11.3, x86_64
Trees: local/main stable/main
Xcode.app: 12.5.1
Xcode command-line tools: 12.5.1.0.1.1623191612
Max. Fink build jobs: 1

I'm not sure how far back up I need to go to find the compiler line, and I
suspect since Apple has switched to LLVM, I'm not going to find a gcc or
g++ line, but perhaps I am misinformed?
